Y hoy os queremos presentar a los ganadores de la segunda semana de Mayo!

Gold Medal

This week the gold medal goes to Mr. Andreshcrafts with this beautiful bust of Akelarre Models, this work stands out for a very soft and fine work of the lights, but above all for the ambience, this ambience makes the whole bust a great piece. The hair is the area that is a little below the level and would have accepted a little more work, but the truth is being simpler helps to focus on the protagonist, the skin, with those orange tones in lights and turquoise in shadows. A personal recommendation that we think would help highlight the figure is a dark base.
Esta semana el oro se lo lleva el señor andreshcrafts con este precioso busto de Akelarre Models, este trabajo destaca por un trabajo muy suave y fino de las luces, pero sobre todo por su ambientación que hace que el conjunto funcione realmente bien. El pelo es la zona que está un poco por debajo del nivel y hubiese aceptado algo mas de trabajo, pero la verdad es que al estar mas sencillo ayuda a centrarte en el protagonista que es la piel con esos tonos anaranjados en luces y aturquesados en sombras. Una recomendación personal y que pensamos que ayudaría a destacar la figura es que la base fuese oscura.
Silver Medal
This week we have a tie in the silver medals becouse these 2 figures are excellent paint jobs that have diametrically opposite virtues and defects, so it is impossible for us to choose one or the other.
Esta semana tenemos un empate en las medallas de plata ya que estas 2 figuras son trabajos de pintura excelentes que tienen virtudes y defectos diametralmente opuestos, así que nos es imposible decantar la balanza por una o por la otra.

This figure deserves a silver medal because it has a very attractive approach, a great idea and you have chosen very beautiful colors, you have worked them very well and the visual effect works very well. On the other side, the main issue wuth the figure has is the light placement, because there are parts of the set with cenital light and others do not, which generates an effect of “distortion” of the volume, it is a pity , since you have worked the color in an excellent way and this problem subtracts points from the set.
Esta figura merece una medalla de plata ya que tiene un planteamiento muy atractivo, una gran idea, has elegidounos colores muy bonitos, los has trabajado muy bien y el efecto visual funciona muy bien. Por otro lado, el principar problema que tiene la figura es la colocación de los planos de luz, ya que hay partes del conjunto que tienen luz cenital y otros no, lo que que genera un efecto de “distorsión” del volumen, es una lástima, ya que has trabajado el color de una manera excelente y este fallo de planteamiento le resta puntos al conjunto

This bust stands out for how well it is technically speaking, good lighting approach, OSL, one of the parts that stands out the most are the “Non-Metallic” ones. On the other hand, the figure needs a greater definition of some elements and above all more play of contrasts especially in the shadows, bcouse it would help to have a better ambience and it would give richness to the color.
Este busto destaca por lo bien que está técnicamente hablando, buen planteamiento de luces, OSL, una de las partes que más destacan son los “No Metálicos”. Por el otro lado la figura necesita una mayor definición de algunos elementos y sobre todo mas juego de contrastes sobre todo en las sombras, ya que ayudaría a la ambientación, a conjuntarlo y le daría riqueza al color.
