Hola a todos!

Y aquí tenemos a los primeros ganadores del concurso semanal de Abril!

Recordad que este mes de abril también regalaremos un set de figuras al ganador del concurso de pintura, en breves días anunciaremos el premios, este mes también incluye un sketch pintado por Alfonso!

This figure has a great paintjob and shows a really good skill level, with a great composition.

To improve the result we recommend another colr choice, more armonic with the water to stablish a relationship between the water and the figure

Un gran trabajo técnico y de composición que funciona perfectamente en conjunto. La base con el agua hecha de resina queda realmente bien.

Como punto a mejorar se podría haber elegido un esquema de color que armonizase más con el agua para relacionar el efecto con el personaje, funcionando en vez de con contrastes, con armonía.

En general un gran trabajo, tanto en pieles como en el resto de elementos.

Thi week we want to give 2 silver medals because we love both and we can´t decide wich one deserves the silver medal.

Esta semana en plata tenemos un empate técnico entre 2 figuras que nos han encantado y somos incapaces de decidir cual se merece más este puesto.

This great figure has been painted for one of the students of “The Hourney” pledge where the students are in a closer contact with Alfonso to get better results. Chris has been a student of the academy and you can see the results of his works, and he is preparing some amazing stuff!.

Chris has a very distinctive style, with a very personal type of brushstroke, as a critic we could say that in this case that the effect of the paint looks “chalky”, we recommend you to try working with other types of pigments and do not dilute it so much with water, I know it may seem contradictory, but this month we want to show you an additional video (in addition to the scheduled ones) where we talk about this specific topic, since many times when adding a lot of water the end result is like watercolor and a little “chalky”.

Un trabajo en general excelente de este alumno que está en el pledge “the Journey” donde se realizan tutorías privadas con Alfonso para mejorar como pintor. Este pintor lleva en la academia mucho tiempo y los resultados hablan por si mismos, yo que he visto los nuevos proyectos que se lleva entre manos he de decir que simplemente, alucinareis.

Chris tiene un estilo muy distintivo, con un tipo de pincelada muy personal, como crítica podríamos decir que en este caso que el efecto de la pintura es un poco seco, te recomendamos que pruebes a trabajar con otro tipo de pigmentos y que no lo diluyas tanto con agua, se que puede parecer contradictorio, pero este mes queremos mostraros un video adicional a los programados donde hablamos de este tema concreto, ya que muchas veces al añadir mucha agua el resultado final es como de acuarela y un poco “tizoso”.

This figure delivered by Marc is really good. Marc is a student of the pledge “The Fellowship”, which are the private coaching done by David Arroba.

In this piece the color of the armor is very beautiful and the effect is very well resolved, otherwise many reflections are very symmetrical, looking like less natural.

The skin of the face is well resolved, but I would appreciate having a little more grace or liveliness, but at the end is a great figure.

Esta figura entregada por Marc nos ha encantado. Marc es alumno del pledge “The Fellowship”, que son las tutorías hechas por David Arroba.

En esta pieza el color de la armadura es muy bonito y el efecto está muy bien resuelto, quizás la única pega es que muchos reflejos son muy simétricos, quitandole algo de naturalidad.

La piel de la cara esta bien resuelta, pero agradecería tener algo más de gracia o viveza, pero es hilar muy fino ya que el trabajo en conjunto es muy bueno.

A beautiful bust of Ivar the Boneless (although many people say that it is Thormund), an historical bust with a lot of character and a good ambience.

This bust shares a problem with the one delivered by Chris Sushre (silver medal), the painting looks “chalky”, it is something very common among painters and when you see the additional video this month you will understand how you can avoid this result.

The non-metallic of the hull needs some more definition, although the tonal work has delighted us. a good bust that undoubtedly deserves a bronze medal!.

Un bonito busto que nos presenta a Ivar el Deshuesado (aunque mucha gente dice que es Thormund), un busto histórico con mucho caracter y una buena entonación.

Este busto comparte un problema con al entregado por Chris Sushre (medalla de plata), la pintura tiene en general un aspecto bastante tizoso, es algo muy habitual entre los pintores y cuando veais el video adicional de este mes entendereis como podéis evitar este efecto.

El no metálico del casco necesita alfo más de definición, aunque el trabajo tonal nos ha encantado. un buen busto que merece sin lugar a dudas una medalla de bronce!
