Y nos llena de orgullo y satisfacción presentaros a los ganadores de la quinta semana del concurso semanal de Abril!
Esta semana concluye el mes de abril y empezamos con las votaciones para saber quien sera el ganador/ganadora del concurso de Abril, si queréis votar en bien sencillo, solo tenéis que acudir a nuestro canal de discord y una vez allí encontraréis las fotos y como votarlas. La votación se cerrará el lunes que viene, así que tenéis toda la semana para decidir quien se llevará los premios (para los que no se acuerden los dejo al final del artículo).

This is the Dwarf week! 7 weeks ago a challenge was born and several painters accepted, paint these 7 dwarfs sculpted by Lucas Pina, paint them in 7 weeks and using only 7 colors! Very crazy if you think about it, but a really great idea resulted in high-quality works.
This is Carla’s version and the truth is that we loved it, the use of color, textures, each dwarf has its own personality and you have worked the everything in a way that it seems all cohesive despite the fact that each one has its own personality and tone. Improve this paintjob would be complicated, but you could have risked something more with the candle, since it could give a very interesting game with reflections in different types of materials that would have given the work a little more complexity.

Bueno, esta semana la tenemos plagada de enanos! Hace 7 semanas nació un reto que varios pintores aceptaron, pintar estos 7 enanos esculpidos por Lucas Pina, pintarlos en 7 semanas y usando solo 7 colores! Muy loco si lo piensas bien, pero que ha dado lugar a obras de gran calidad.
Esta es la versión de Carla y la verdad es que nos ha encantado, el uso del color, texturas, cada enano tiene su personalidad y has trabajado el conjunto de manera que parezca todo cohesionado pese a que cada uno tiene su personalidad y tono. Buscarle un punto de mejora sería complicado pero si que podrías haber arriesgado algo más con la vela, ya que podía dar un juego muy interesante con reflejos en diferentes tipos de materiales que habría dado a la obra un poco más de complejidad.
Enhorabuena por tu segundo oro este mes!!

And here we have another batch of 7 dwarfs! This time from Marc’s dwarves. Undoubtedly this is not an easy piece, maybe you can think that it is like painting 7 mini busts, when it is really much more complicated, since you have to make all of them work together without looking identical.
Technically the piece is very good, good choice of colors, risking with the OSL, the truth is that we are surprised since it is a difficult piece to face but that in some points that complexity is too much, as for example in better differentiate skin tones or overall intonation. It is an ambitious project of normal, so doing it in the time that you have set and with a limitation in the palette has put your skills to the limit and you have come out successful, congratulations.
Y aquí tenemos otra tanda de 7 enanos! Esta vez de la mano de Marc. Sin lugar a dudas esta pieza alberga muchas dificultades, ya que en principio podrías pensar que es como pintar 7 mini bustos, cuando realmente es mucho más complicado, ya que tienes que hacer que todos ellos funcionen en conjunto sin parecer clónicos.
La pieza técnicamente está muy bien, buena elección de colores, arriesgando con el OSL de la vela, la verdad es que estamos sorprendidos ya que es una pieza difícil de afrontar pero que en algunos puntos esa complejidad te ha pasado factura, como por ejemplo en diferenciar mejor los tonos de piel o la entonación del conjunto. Es un proyecto ambicioso de normal, así que hacerlo en el tiempo que te has marcado y con una limitación en la paleta ha puesto tus habilidades al límite y has salido airoso, enhorabuena.

Yes, Mr. German, the truth is that week after week he surprises us with his creations and every time he uploads a new Marvel figure to his instagram I don’t miss it. You have a very good hand on this scale and have seen a good evolution in your work.
We already mentioned the figure of Cursed city in this week’s “Consulting Room” on twitch (if you haven’t seen it, it was very good) and Medusa from the game “Marvel Crisis Protocol” is very good, it is a correct job in all levels. At this point technically you cannot do much more, but you do have to start risking a little more to focus attention and make the figures gain an interesting point, for example the figure of Medusa with that long hair could have had a turquoise rim-light like the one on Big child chibis as it is a large area that supports more information.
Y esta semana en la medalla de bronce tenemos un empate con 2 figuras ¡del mismo pintor! Si, el señor German la verdad es que semana a semana nos sorprende con sus creaciones y cada vez que sube una nueva figura de Marvel a su instagram no me la pierdo. Tienes muy buena mano en esta escala y se ve una buena evolución en tus trabajos.
La figura de Cursed city ya te la comentamos en el “Consulting Room” de twitch de esta semana (si no lo habéis visto estuvo muy bien) y Medusa del juego “Marvel Crisis Protocol” está muy bien, es un trabajo que es correcto a todos los niveles. LLegados a este punto técnicamente no se puede hacer mucho más, pero si que tienes que empezar a arriesgar un poco más para focalizar la atención y hacer que las figuras ganen un punto interesante, por ejemplo la figura de Medusa con ese pelo tan largo podría haber tenido una luz de recorte turquesa como la de los chibis de Big child, ya que es una gran zona que admite más información.
